Welcome to Gator Point on Douglas Lake
Smoky Mountain Lake, LLC proudly offers three remodeled, full hook-up campsites on the South Shore of Douglas Lake’s main channel. Opening in July 2026, these scenic back-in sites sit right next to our popular cabins and tiny homes. Consequently, you can host your entire group in one spot, even if some family members prefer a cabin while others bring an RV.
Site Highlights and Amenities
You will find everything you need for a comfortable stay on the water. Each site includes 20, 30, and 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections. Additionally, guests can launch boats directly from our private, on-property ramp, and we offer dedicated boat slips upon request. You will also enjoy free Wi-Fi across all sites inside our secure, gated property. To keep the air fresh, we enforce a strict no-campfire policy. Therefore, you can relax outdoors without heavy smoke hovering over your campsite.
Essential Requirements and Rig Info
These sites cater specifically to small rigs under 25 feet. We do not provide a public bathhouse on-site. For this reason, your camper must feature a fully functioning internal bathroom. Furthermore, we pre-screen every reservation for length and bathroom facilities, so we do not allow instant bookings.
Accessing Gator Point requires navigating a 1/4-mile, 14-degree paved hill and a 1/2-mile gravel road. However, paved county roads lead smoothly from Highway 411 to our entrance. Please ensure you bring an adequate tow vehicle. If you select Site #1, note that it sits on higher ground than the others. While it is the shortest site, it offers the best turning radius.
Policies and Nearby Attractions
We strive to maintain a quiet, peaceful atmosphere for all guests by observing quiet time daily from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Each site includes parking for one vehicle and welcomes up to six guests and two leashed pets. However, you can reserve extra vehicle or trailer space for a small fee.
The primary renter must be at least 25 years old, and we proudly offer senior discounts. Standard seasonal stays run from April through October for up to 14 days. Finally, our convenient location puts you just 6 miles from Highway 411. You can reach Sevierville in 20 minutes, Pigeon Forge in 30 minutes, and Gatlinburg in 45 minutes.
