What is the cost to list my rental on your site?
We have low introductory annual fee for 2024. $99 for one listing. $179 for two listings. $249 for up to 3 listings. $375 for up to 5 and $675 for up to 10 rentals. Please inquire for special pricing if you have more than 10 homes on or close to a regional Smoky Mountain Lake.
Do I need a fishing license?
All persons ages 13 and older must have a fishing license to fish in Tennessee. There are a variety of fishing licenses available for residents and non-residents, including a junior license for residents ages 13-15. Non-residents have the option of buying a 1-day, 3-day, 10-day or annual license.

Do you allow pets?
Pets are allowed at selected homes on this site. Be sure to mention the number and size of your pets when making your inquiry. Be prepared to pay an extra fee and/or deposit to bring your pet(s). Does Smoky Mountain Lake, LLC manage all the properties on this site?
No. Only those homes listed with our LOGO are offered by Smoky Mountain Lake, LLC. All other Hosts, Owners, & Managers are advertisers on our site and you will be renting directly through them. Due to the popularity of our site (online since 1999) we had several large companies try to buy our URL and business. However, we felt that we best knew how to represent our owners on our program. So, we decided to completely redesign the site in order to allow homes not on our program to share in the success of our strong internet presence for lakefront homes in the Smokies.
Why do TVA lakes fluctuate?
The information from the Tennessee Valley Authority is this:
TVA strives to keep as much water in the reservoirs as possible for recreation from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year. The entire system—which begins in Knoxville, Tenn., and ends in Kentucky Reservoir in Paducah, Ky. helps to preserve water quality; maintain aquatic life; support navigability; preserve flood storage capability; ensure there is enough water to meet industrial, municipal, and agricultural needs; and, yes, cool TVA’s power plants, especially nuclear reactors.
TVA manages these reservoirs:
Chickamauga Dam—Blue Ridge, Chatuge, Cherokee, Douglas, Fontana, Hiwassee, Norris, Nottely, South Holston and Watauga
